Yuko is the patented method of Japanese thermal straightening and the leading brand across the U.S. as well as in other countries across the world. With Yuko you can tame your unruly locks and have silky straight hair you have always wanted with low maintenance at home.
The procedure:
1. The consultation : Before the actual straightening we will ask to have an in person consultation with you in order to create the results you have always wanted. This procedure can be done on any length of hair, virgin hair or single processed hair. Keeping the integrity of the hair in mind, we do not recommend getting your hair chemically straightened if it has been highlighted or bleached.
2. Pre-treatment : On the day of your service we will shampoo and lightly condition your hair with Yuko shampoo and conditioner to prepare the hair for the service.
3. Application : The proper solution for your hair type if applied. During the processing time, the molecules in your hair are being reconstructed.
4. Ironing : After the solution is washed out, the heat from the blow dryer and the Yuko specialized iron lock in the molecules into the newly reconstructed straight form.
5. Neutralized and Style : The neutralizer helps neutralize any unpleasant smell from the chemicals and conditions your new STRAIGHT hair. Your hair is then washed one last time,p and styled to finish.
The end result will leave you with silky straight hair that has unbelievable shine. Unlike a keratin treatment, Yuko removes all curl until your natural hair begins to grow out. Most clients will have their new growth touched up every 6 months to once a year to maintain their straight hair.
