My Curly Hair Routine
Day 1. My hair type is wavy and my sides tend to be looser than the back. I use Ouidad Tress Effects and Climate Control mixed together and rake and shake my hair in small sections to ensure my waves don’t become weighed down. I spritz the sea spray on the top and sides of my hair to encourage curl where it lacks, then scrunch and diffuse until 90% dry. Adding clips on the top of my head promotes height, and I air dry the rest of the way. Pomade and shine glaze combined is the final step to get my soft wavy locks.
Day2: When I wake up in the morning on my second day, the sides of my hair have flattened out. (My hair is too short to wear in a bun when I sleep.) I start with the sea spray as my refresher, and if it is still looking a little too limp in some spots before I walk out the door I will hit a few pieces with a 1” curling wand to perk it up a bit.
Day 3: at this point a refresher spray won’t do much for my looser curls so I just bring out the wand again and pick up any flat pieces until my curls come to life. I then use the styling mist and scrunch to hold my desired volume (clips for extra height). This doesn’t take more than 10 minutes.
