I had a client come in last week and she wanted a thicker look and feel. She did not want a lot of attachments and she did not want to spend a lot time or money. Her ends were thin and framing her face was a broken line. This is very common. There is less hair on the sides of our heads because it stops at the ear. Woman also wear their hair in ponytails and messy buns often and that creates breakage.We chose to use Quickies Tape-In hair extensions because she could get a lot of bang for her buck. With 6 "sandwhiches" of the hair extensions the price was $ 225. Quickies can be re-used up to 2 more times. The extensions are applied in a horse shoe pattern about an inch back from each temple. They created a much thicker side and a solid line along the bottom. This application is not enough hair to create length. It will create volume/ thickness only. The entire process of the 6 Quickies sandwhiches application with a cut takes about 45min.
In about 6-8 weeks this method will require a removal and they will be applied again for $ 125. Your own hair can be highlighted and colored while they are in as long as the chemical does not touch the adhesive. Shampoo and condition as you normaly would with a sulfate and paraben free shampoo. Sulfates and parabens break down the medical grade adhesive tabs. Oils should be avoided too because it can cause them to slide out.
The extension is very thin and undetectable. You can slide your hand over the hair and you would never feel it. A halo of hair covers the top of the extensions and they become invisible. Quickies are a great solution to thinning hair.
