"I love coming here. I found my stylist for Chicago! I came in for a basic cut back in the day and interviewed Jennifer Romano. She listened to what I wanted and what I needed.
I came back for another cut, but a style cut. Went with the bang route and loved while it lasted. I had spoke about going extreme and she explained that with my face I can pull off a lot of styles.
When I came in to cut off 9 inches, Jennifer took care of me. explained what was going to happen reassured me that I will look great and saw that I was starting to freaked-out. She had a glass of wine brought over to me ASAP. I felt better just after and made my time even better.
If you want a great cut, a glass of wine and an amazing person to chat with, go and Jennifer!!"

"Elle is the best!! And great customer service from the receptionists. My color is always perfect whether I get highlights, all over color or both. And Elle has helped me grow my hair out from a weird layered cut with her recommendations to make my hair healthier. The salon is clean and friendly. Great quality for surprisingly low prices in the area."

"I finally found the stylist of my dreams...in Massachusetts, where we used to live. We moved to Chicago and I despaired of finding someone else who can make my hair look so great, AND be a nice person that I don't mind hanging out with for a couple of hours while my hair is done. My former stylist was at a Redken salon as well, and she gave me my color formula to give my new Chicago stylist something to work from.

Joe made my hair look AMAZING. Just, amazing. The cut was perfect, I didn't need much but he thinned it out and made it look like I had an actual "style" again. And the color? Oh, the color. He suggested a few strategic caramel highlights, just to try (no charge!), to which I said (after two glasses of wine), "Sure, why not!" Well, I'm happy I did, and the last time I went back I was glad to pay for more, in addition to my single-process. The conditioning treatment also made a clear difference in the health of my hair (at least for a week or so), and I continue to do that as well.

Joe is fun, sweet, and knows a LOT about color and cut. He is both a great listener and not afraid to suggest new ideas to his customers that will make them look FABULOUS.

I have found my Chicago stylist! Which surprisingly was easier than finding a good local falafel place..."

Swerve is a great salon with an amazing location, great prices and products! I've been going to Mallory for my cut/color/highlights for 3 yrs now and I love her! She really pays attention to detail and goes the extra mile to make sure I leave happy! I have REALLY long straight hair and she does a great job cutting in layers and making sure everything blends in how it should. Highly recommended!

I moved to Chicago about a year and a half ago, and one of my first priorities was to find someone to do my hair that I could trust to do what I wanted - not what they thought would look good!

My friend pointed me to Dana and I have been a loyal customer ever since! I've had a lot of different stylists over my years of moving across the country and Dana is seriously the best I've ever been to! She listens to what you want and will give her opinion if you ask for it. I transitioned my hair from light brown with blonde highlights to very dark brown hair. I was nervous, but really wanted to make the change. She talked me through all the steps and let me know how long it would take to get it fully brown without damaging my hair. The color she chose was SO amazing and I still get compliments on it to this day! I have complete confidence in Dana.

Only thing that is annoying is you have to tip in cash - which I never have - but it's worth it. Also, you get a beer/glass of wine!

Definitely go see Dana - you won't be disappointed!

"I initially came to Swerve about a year ago in desperate need of highlights after multiple unsuccessful attempts to make an appointment at a convenient time with my (former) colorist (i.e. not 10am on a workday in three months..).  The Swerve recommendation came from my former roommate, and I am so happy that she led me to Amy, my now "go-to" cut and color guru.  Amy is such a talent- my color always looks incredibly natural and my haircuts supremely chic.  After commenting that I wish I had professional blow-dry skills, Amy actually took the time to show me self-blow drying techniques.  While I have a long way to go, this gesture won Amy a client for life.  Good thing that  Wells St. is lined with storefronts so I can constantly check out my amazing haircut as I walk home :)  I highly recommend Swerve!"

"What a nice salon! I was a little nervous about trying a new place on such short notice and no recommendations but was in a jam and unable to get in to my usual place. The staff was extremely friendly and Jennifer did an amazing job on my hair. I have received so many compliments and am really happy with it."
