Locks of Love~For the Love of A Child~
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Using donated hair, Locks of Love creates the highest quality hair prosthetics.
Their mission is to “return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children.” The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need. We are Susan G. Komen. We are a force united by a promise to end breast cancer forever. For over 30 years, we've led the way funding groundbreaking research, community health initiatives and advocacy programs in local communities across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries. And with your help, we'll continue pushing for progress to end breast cancer every day, until it's a thing of the past.
Susan G. Komen is the ONLY organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease.

ASK FoundationMaking life better dor children with cancer
ASK, The Association for the Support of Children with Cancer, provides financial, spiritual, social and emotional support to pediatric cancer patients and their families at MCV Hospital/VCU Health Systems. We are proud to support the foundation in its mission of Making Life Better for Children with Cancer.
ASK provides direct support to 1000 children with cancer and their families in Central Virginia on an annual basis...during treatment and beyond. All of our programs are free of charge and open to the 1000 children and families we serve each year.
