Deana Rydel is a Stylist & Manager at Design Team in Columbus, NE. She started her extensive career in 1980, after graduating from Bahner College of Hairstyling in Fremont, NE.

“It's been so long, I barely remember when it started!” laughs Deana. It started out that "playing with hair" was fun and she realized she got a real joy out of connecting with people and making them happy.

She loves when a plan comes together. New cut, new color… and the client has a big smile on their face saying, "I love it!” Deana believes it’s very rewarding when her client sits in her chair asking, "just like last time…it worked great." It gives her a real sense of accomplishment. She's a bit of a perfectionist, this makes being a stylist perfect for Deana.

Wanting to continually grow, she tries to never miss a chance at education. Even with an extensive knowledge in the beauty industry, things are always changing and she continues to learn. Deana’s clients are her priority, and they’d agree that she’s attentive to their needs and truly listens. When clients sit in her chair, the universe revolves around them.

Understanding her client’s needs and wants are of most importance to her. She makes it clear that before she picks up her shears or color brush, her customers feel secure in her knowledge and skills.
