A Letter from Josh
Hello friends,
Thanks for taking a moment to check out the newly revamped website!
Josh-Cooley.com has been my online home for over 17 years! Way before Rockstars + Lambs opened, I used this site to book clients in an age when social media was barely taking off and people were still hesitant to put apps on their phones. In fact, I want to say 17 years ago, I was rocking a Blackberry and lived on my email and still used my Pandora account to find new music. Funny how times have changed, right?
With constant-changing times comes a new look: a new logo!
I wanted to celebrate ten years of the salon by re-inventing the logo to something that echoed my personal aesthetic and showed off my formal education as a graphic designer. A big red block with R+L is appropriate! Red is a powerful color and simplicity is at my essence. In 19 years of doing hair, I prefer a bob or a pixie. I love tone on tone brunettes, Scandinavian blondes, a proper highlight and a classicaly bright red head.
In the age of the influencer, we have to hold tight to our classic training in the beauty industry. Education is still key at my salon and it will always be a foundation that drives my skill forward.
I want to take a moment to thank you for supporting me for the past twelve years. I coudn't have done it without you. I am looking forward to revamping the salon well into 2024 with a fresh look. It's time to update the salon that has become so cozy for so many... including me.
BOOKING SESSIONS AND REFERRALS
As usual, please continue to book online or by texting me directly at 719-250-2529. There are busier seasons than others in the salon and when I become overwhelmed by my cancelation list, it is common practice to offer a referral to another stylist at my salon or at a sister-salon in town. I am beyond elated with the demand and grateful for every opportunity sent my way. I could not have imagined in my wildest dreams that we would be thriving the way we are!
COLOR LINES
As alot of you know, I'm a chemistry nerd. I spent years launching haircolor brands and working on education teams and in labs for color manufacturers observing and learning about the molecular properties of haircolor and chemicals used on the scalp and the hair. Currenlty, I am using a couple different non-ammonia ranges. I am looking into anything that is cleaner, greener and safer for YOU and the enviroment.
At this stage in the game, color theory is not second nature, it's my blood and sweat. I know what I'm mixing and I know how to get the result I want, I just want to see what everyone else has going on.
All of your formulas are recorded in our system for reference so I can see what works and what may need ot be tweaked for the next visit.

SALON POLICIES REMINDER
I ask that all clients are at least 10 minutes early for their scheduled appointment. If you are running more than 10 minutes behind your scheduled time, you will be asked to reschedule; a no-show fee will also be assesed electronically. You can see the fee scale on the "Appointments" tab.
Also, upon arriving, please put your cell phone on silent. Being mindful of other guests is a courtesy. This is a chance to unwind and relax. Take advatange of this precious time and step away from the many notifications that dictate the course of your day.
If you are going to be browsing tik toks online or watching videos, please bring headphones or airpods. This time is set aside for you, but in the case of multiple bookings, we need to respect everyone's tranqulity while visitng the salon.
