Meet Marie

Marie has been a curly hair specialist since 1988 when her highly textured curly hair become too unmanageable for her poor mother to deal with any more. Fearing she was doomed to a life of frizz, she spent the next 20 years searching for the "cure" for her hair. After buying every product marketed "for curly hair" known to mankind, getting a few straighteners, dozens of blow outs, and too many traumatizing haircuts to count, Marie finally found her way when she discovered Curly Girl: The Handbook and Deva Curl products.

Owner and curly hair stylist, Marie, has held a strong passion for education over the years that include becoming certified in countless academy courses held by Redken, DevaCurl, and Goldwell. She has found a passion for her curly-hair clients and became one of the first Deva-Inspired Curl Specialist's in Lawrenceville, Georgia. 

Marie’s passion has led to her becoming Lawrenceville, Georgia’s DevaCurl and Hair Color Specialist where she teaches her clients the art of curly-hair.

 With her natural aptitude she uses her behind-the-scenes work and her artsy talent to approach her client's hair as a visual work of art. She interprets the needs of each guest and creates a style that tells their unique story- be it simple, carefree, understated elegance, or rocker-chic. Her clients travel as far as South Carolina for their cut and colors.

 Marie’s clients love her intuitive style, gentle but direct personality, and her ability to listen and cater to their needs.
