Danielle Donahue

Danielle Donahue is a makeup artist known for her work in print and film.  With a background in painting and drawing, Danielle takes a highly artistic and unique approach to the work she creates.  "To me makeup artistry is so much more than simply making someone beautiful.  In fact, "beauty" is an afterthought.  Art naturally comes first.  The colors I use, the texture, the composition, simple or complex...all of it finds its place organically and then beauty is realized", she says.

Most of Danielle's career takes place on the set of films and commercials.  She has worked on many national campaigns for companies such as Comcast, Verizon, Kodak, and the NFL.  Danielle has also done makeup for many music videos including Imagine Dragons' "On Top of the World".  Working on commercials and feature films has given Danielle the chance to work with many celebrities, most recently; Katherine Heigl, Sean Astin, Danny Trejo, Devon Sawa, Kevin Sorbo and Sarah Clarke to name a few.

Over the past several years Danielle has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the top artistic directors for L'Oreal MATRIX where she has traveled across the country for photo shoots, runway shows, product launches and consumer campaigns.  Her work with this team has led to numerous global publications including:  Modern Salon, HOT, Sophisticate's, Woman's Day, Estetica, American Salon, Beauty Launchpad and 10Ten Magazine.  She has also been a part of numerous winning and nominated collections at the North American Hairstyling Awards

Danielle has a passion for education and knowledge, believing that a constant quest for self-improvement is key to finding success within one's self.  In 2008, she partnered with Acaydia School of Aesthetics in Provo, Utah, to create the curriculum for what would be Utah's first makeup school.  She remained the Artistic Director and primary instructor until 2014.

When she isn't on set or traveling to do makeup, Danielle can be found painting, playing soccer, snowboarding, baking delicious treats, and spending time with the people she loves.
