About Berlin

Berlin "The Bad Boy of Beauty" has been a stylist in the beautiful San Francisco bay in downtown Union Square on the ultra chic area of Maiden lane for more than 20 years. Nestled between the exclusive designer shops of Prada, Gucci, Hermes, Marc Jacobs, and Louis Vuitton (to name a few) where he started out his career at the Flagship store of Imagnin Union square.  Berlin was a technical trainer for a company in the 1980's throughout the nineties within the internationally recognized hair styling company, Glemby international for I Magnin. 

Berlin began his career with the same passion and ambition he continues to carry today in his heart for his field of expertise in: style, coloring / highlighting, cutting, and makeup. Berlin became the youngest technical trainer for the west coast on Glemby international at 22 years old, flying state wide to teach advanced haircutting and style, coloring and perming to the major department store salons of that time. Berlin had the fortunate experience of receiving advance training himself from some of the great artists of that time including Jean Louis David of Paris France and Scott Cole of Atlanta Georgia U.S.A. Berlin received his cosmetology training at Fullerton College in Fullerton,California in which he graduated at the top of his class with his California state license.

With extreme talent, his own personal style, and his unique ability to pay close attention to his clients, he took a leap of faith to leave Glemby International and went out on his own. This leap of faith led him to his next great passion of styling and makeup design for media work which was published in leading fashion magazines in the Bay area as well as nationwide. Berlin has had the honor of working with some of the greatest designers in the world today such as: Armani, Donna Karan, Versace, Thierry Muglar, Polo Ralph Lauren; and various independent designers throughout San Francisco.  Berlin creates hair and makeup for runway shows and is also involved with photography and print ads. Additionally, he has worked with a long list of high profile clients such as: Anne Rice, Cybil Sheppard, Patricia Neil, Lil Kim for Mac cosmetics, Macys Passport, The Junior league show in conjunction with Macy's San Francisco, and countless others. His talents have afforded him some of the greatest experiences of his life working with some of the most talented designers, photographers, stylist, Hairstylist, makeup artist of all time. Furthermore, he has been a featured guest on KGO ‘s T.V. Show, “The View From The Bay “ from 07/2006 to their last season in 2010 creating looks, make over’s, and hair care advice for millions of viewers.

Most recently he completed his dream come true of shooting 4 pilot shows with ABC KGO TV San Francisco and The Live Well Network where he is the host of his own reality show " The Bad Boy of Beauty" and independently shooting  "Bride Crashers!" where he scouts out his next Glamstar and gives her the royal treatment and doing what he loves to do reinventing beauty from the inside out. Overall, these incredible experiences took Berlin to the next level of his career which allowed him to focus on the clients in the salon sitting in his chair. Berlin brought out all his passion, style, expertise, and personal service to that experience. Berlin continues to use his session work to create unique glamorous styles for brides and their families around the globe. It was this transition that sparked the fire in him with great passion for doing bridal services and creating glamorous results for brides over the last 10 years. With his passion for glamour and eye for style --  Berlin maintains a diverse and long list of clients while achieving a perfect balance of doing what he loves most and creating a look that brings your style into focus without over powering it. With his eye for detail, his flair for color and his approachable service, Berlin is often heard stating “We are all the stars of our own lives“ -- and challenges you to find your leading lady or leading man from within.
