Destiny Cox is a leading expert in Continued Education of Cosmetology with her specialty ranging from hair color to salon consulting. Destiny started her career as a licensed Cosmetologist at age eighteen, within one year Destiny completed her training for her Cosmetology Instructor license at New Wave Hair Academy in Memphis, Tennessee. She later became an Senior Educator in Cosmetology at age twenty, being one of the youngest Educators in the Mid- South and to later became the youngest Program Director in Cosmetology in 2008 at Vatterott Career College also in Memphis, she is now 32 years old.
     
Destiny has traveled the country to gain a wealth of information pertaining to the Cosmetology industry. She has been a Freelance Platform Artist for V-Violet Products, EZ Glam, Azure Haircare, and Kiss Express. Destiny is also a self- published writer and freelance writer for local beauty publications. She has received extensive training and certifications from Ashtae, Redken, OPI, Clio, Design Essentials, Straight Request, Perfect Results, and Joico and recently she attended a CHI color and texture certification.

Destiny is a stylist for film, TV. & music videos. In her early years Destiny was apart of her local TBA (Tennessee Beautician Association) chapter. Destiny has been a salon owner for six years; her salon is called DN STYLEZ and is CEO of her own advance training center called Destiny Cox International. Destiny has become the go to Color Guru; she is the Master Colorist for Kiss Express & Azure Colors, formulating seasonal trends and techniques.

 She has recently added a new vision to her brand, “teachmecolor.com” it is presently under development and will soon be the only 24 hour hair color/cosmetology hotline and online resource with hopes to employ educators from all over the country.  

Destiny has toured the country promoting her Destiny Cox International and teachmecolor.com, she has been sought after to teach advance courses that she offers called The “Naked” Truth about Hair Color, Secrets of A Colorist and many more, which has been picked up by the Bronner Brothers International Hair Show, Image Expo Houston 2011, The Beauty & Barber Conference, Mississippi Hair Expo and many tradeshows and seminars.

Destiny is the founder of The Beauty & Barber Conference, Azure Haircare and a personal trainer to industry professionals who have the desire to compete & develop their brand within the industry. Her vigorous training program has produced a higher standard of excellence within her students and salon.

Destiny confesses her inspiration comes from her Grandmother who spoke success in her life at an early age, who taught her the right thing to do and how to treat people. Everyday she aspires to make her proud. She is the oldest of three children to the late Eddie and Shirley Cox. She loves spending time with family. She acknowledges her church, Greater Works Deliverance Ministry who has helped her to become the person she is today.

Destiny loves to travel and will forever be a student to the masses of Cosmetology, She dreams of touring Europe documenting her journey as she indulges in their beauty cultures.

Her volunteer work includes creating care packages for homeless, participating in feed the needy programs, and developing young professionals in the beauty industry. She is currently mentoring professionals in the industry developing their brand.

Destiny is currently a Master Colorist & Educator, Platform Artist and Talent Developer aspiring young professional Cosmetologist.
