Heat Remediation

The most effective way to kill bed bugs

Our thermal remediation for bed bugs uses high temperature during treatment between 120-135°F.  This temperature is the optimum temperature necessary for heat to penetrate crevices in furniture and upholstery where bed bugs tend to hide.  Thermal or heat remediation is 100 % effective, safe for furniture and household items, and fast.  Chemical treatment is used in conjunction with our heat treatment to totally kill  bed bugs and their eggs.

Our heat remediation equipment is designed to apply heat to bed bug infected areas and kill the pests with a three step process which includes:

  •  HEAT APPLICATION--  Electric bed bug heaters are placed within the space and set to a target temperature of over 120 degrees--the temperature required to kill bed bugs and their eggs.
  •  TEMPERATURE MONITORING-- During thermal remediation, temperatures in the bed bug infested areas are monitored using sensors to ensure that  temperatures stay constant in order to kill bed bugs and their eggs.
  •  AIR CIRCULATION-- Fans move heated air throughout the area to ensure that the heat penetrates cracks in furniture, walls, floors, and other areas to reach bed bugs that may be hiding.
